fr i had a look through threads and discussions and from what i can tell everyone else is having the issue and it all started after the USA dlc.
That thread there become a defacto discussion on performance and I made a created a large post in there about what I've noticed on my ancient old computer.
Bottom line the Liberation maps are far more detailed (more 'junk' all over the map looks pretty) and have destructible buildings. That costs performance and the engine is never going to be overhauled to the level the players expect it to be.
the devs seem to really want to add more stuff to this old engine, without much concern for how it may impact performance for their players, which is sad
I don't think it has too much to do with extra details on the maps from the liberation DLC ect, but from a change done to the AI which really shows in skirmish mode.
prior to this i felt the game was performing better than it ever has with what could be thrown at at.
I've rather put the game down since and hoping if its is just an AI optimisation issue,
that will be tuned upon the release of the new DLC.
fingers crossed that's it anyway.
