Tanks Don't Shoot Back?
Has anyone else notice that your tanks will sit there and get annihilated without ever shooting back? Mine keep doing this.

maybe they have no line of sight?
One of my tanks got shot by a cannon through a plane wreck. I needed to shot in first person through a tiny gap to kill the cannon.

if they dont have AP shells they usually wont bother shooting at other armored vehicles. If you locked them to HE rounds, same thing

They only shoot what can be seen. Send out a scout to spot or manually order it to shoot at where you suspect the hidden enemy is.

that's been an issue for a long time. if you're fighting the ai bots, they have split second vision and reactions on your units that the devs did improve awhile back but it's still there

What enemy unit is firing at your tank?
A moving tank can be observed out to 250m. An enemy AT gun will almost certainly get the first shot unless you are using infantry to scout ahead.

Who shot first?
If your tank was hit and penetrated the crew will be stunned for several seconds.
If the enemy fires again, hits and penetrated the crew will be stunned again.

Did you use first person view to check the field of fire?
Tanks have limits in depression and elevation. Maybe the tank couldn't depress the gun far enough to fire back.

This happens regularly to me, In my case this seems to happen when there is some sort of object partially blocking the line sight, making my tank very reluctant to fire, In most of these cases I can go into manual aiming and still easily hit the other tank. The A.I does not seem to encounter this issue, I'm guessing if there is some minor line of sight issue they will compensate by moving their unit ever so slightly, or they pathfind in a way where this never happens to them.
