Community Update 3, Part 2 - My First Impressions
For to see all the new German infantry models and uniforms I just started the editor and had a first look.

Here is my FEEDBACK (so far - first look) for the developers (as I somehow can't join the discord server. Mayby it's because of my Norton Antivirus programme?).

POSITIVE:

The German paratroopers are looking great! There is a huge improvement of the appearance here. Well done!

What I also like are the "summer soldiers" with their shirts sleeves rolled up. But why are some of them wearing gloves?

New Panzer Crews are looking great too! As well as the mountain troops (Gebirgsjaeger).

Wintersoldiers now have scarfs and tube scarfs. Looking great! Some soldiers are even wearing their scarfs pulled over the nose, like bank robbers. Cool! :-)

Many improved helmets like the "wire" helmet. Helmets and caps with googles are also looking way better now. Well done!

NEGATIVE:

NEW OFFICER: The new officer looks like a caricature of an old N.a. tsee General who has long since retired, but not like a competent commander, This is absolutely exaggerated and ridiculous like in a silly comedy movie from Jerry Lewis.
I definitely miss the previous commander faces.

All German soldiers still need a proper haircut! :-) They are looking like hippies with their long hair. You can't go to the front like that! :D

MEDICS: The German medics are looking better now but they are still showing a GREEN cross....? The cross has to be red. It was and is a red cross. A red cross. Red.

ARTILLERYMEN: The Artillerymen have a shovel stuck in the FRONT of their belt...?
I have never seen this in any German, English or American Newsreel of WWII
and we all can imagine that this would have been very inconvenient during the work and something like that also would have posed a great risk of injury. This really makes no sense at all.

It was more like the opposite: The artillerymen who were usually positioned further away from the main battle line were not even wearing their helmets, belts or jackets. Especially in warm weather (not in winter of course).
Carrying artillery grenades was intense and hard work. A shovel in the belt would have been only a hindrance and a source of danger.

The shovel needs to be removed, please. It looks absolutely wrong.

For example - you made a very nice recruit model #2. The artillerymen should be looking more like this. No belt, no gear, just a shirt and the pants with suspenders. That's cool! :-)

Maybe you could also create an artillerymen summer model wearing only a t-shirt (undershirt) with pants and suspenders.

MACHINE GUNNERS AND MG ASSISTANTS:
The ammo belt around their necks makes them looking very tough an cool but the ammo in the belt around the neck is smaller in size (size of the rounds / bullets) than those bullets which are sticking in the little piece of ammo belt that is attached to the machine gun.
And the distance between the single rounds / bullets also seems to be a little too large.
These ammo belts need to be made more "heavy" and bigger in my opinion.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

But all in all it's a great improvement for the infantry models. Thank you for this update!

Modern laws prohibit using the red cross. Said laws were introduced by the ICRC.

I’m very pleased with the new update but this is the only thing that bugs me besides the flamethrower wearing a gas mask. I dare you to try to find a reference photo of a German wearing his scarf like that that isn’t a freezing POW marching to Siberia.

@KapitanSWAT regarding Red Cross

Thank you for your answer! I googled it - didn't know that this really is a kind of a protected "trademark."

OK, my answers are this:

1.) Well, I for one would wear my tube scarf / toque this way in the freezing cold of the Russian winter.

2. I googled these words: " German Wehrmacht Soldier with scarf Winter " and found a link to a site called "Festung dot net" which shows a photo of a soldier with a rifle shouldered (so he is no prisoner), wearing the tube scarf liek this. But it is the only one I could find.

3. Exactly like you I have never seen German soldiers wearing the scarfs like bank robbers - never on a photo or in a newsreel (Deutsche Wochenschau".
BUT: I can imagine that when a photo was taken or a camera team was adsent, the soldiers wanted to be seen, wanted to show their face to the people at home ("hey Mom, I'm doing well, I'm alive" AND it is conceivable that it was forbidden to present the Wehrmacht soldiers looking like bank robbers / gangsters. It is possible. A soldier with a hidden face looks more like an evil person, a soldier with an open visible face looks more like "the good one", a hero.
Just my thoughts on this.

4. I've seen this the first time in a Russian movie that is also available for free on YouTube.
The Russians have a somewhat different view on the Wehrmacht and I believe them when they say that in winter many Germans looked like this in early war.
The movie is called: Panfilov's 28. There is also a "Panfilov's 28 - Best scenes" video on YT. In this video the scene that I'm refering to starts at ca. 9:00 minutes.
But I know it is "only" a Russian movie and not a proof - and maybe the Germans were dressed like that only in this movie for to make them look more evil.

But in the end - I like it that way and I'm happy that there are a few models in the game, wearing the toque like this. So they don't get a cold nose. :D

I just noticed I can no longer change the number on my tanks/vehicles (that allow it) to triple six?

Also, path finding for human units since this last update is broken. Snowbanks cause the human units to stop in their tracks. I have to manually walk them over or through them. It is a real pain when sending out medics.

It is a symbol of universal protection during armed conflict. So the use during an armed conflict by medical personnel, engaged in the activity of medical assistance, is considered within the law.

The use of the icon (both cross and crescent) by civilian medical services, including it's use to mark first aid kits etc, is considered unlawful.

So the cross should be red on a white background.

There's lots of them, seen it in film reels, slides, etc. I'd wager you've never spent prolonged time in such freezing temps, scarfs aren't simply accesories to drape around the shoulders. ;) About a minute in google netted these:
