The seem to be working on 2 dlcs.
The next is expected to be another proper expansion with an Italian and British faction.
You're kind of on the right track but not really. The next DLC is definitely something US airborne related based on the small teaser we saw. Most likely a smaller DLC in similar scope to Scorched Earth with a few new units and some missions. Devs have also confirmed you do not need Liberation to own it which is nice.
However It's very unlikely that the next big expansion is Britain or Italy. I mean it could be but I would imagine that would come with later expansions (perhaps q1 2025) that include their own Theatres for maps and stuff (e.g. Africa or Italy)
What the next faction actually looks to be (with actual evidence) is France. There was a Job listing earlier this year/late last year on the Developers website looking for French voice actors that mentioned recording dialog for combat scenarios e.g. Taking cover, getting wounded etc. So this likely indicates a French faction since this audio wasn't used in Liberation at all.
This way they can also extend the life of the Liberation environmental assets while adding completely new units and stuff to play with.
Before Talvisota released they also used the same method of hiring Finnish voice actors on there website so judging from the past, it's unlikely this will be any kind of red herring.
It doesn't really give any "hard" information but it's there.

The next release according to the roadmap is a paid DLC so it's broken the paid/free pattern up a bit.
The video post recently in the official Discord hinted towards a airborne operation for the next release. So I'm guessing since the 101st aren't represented much in the current US lineup they've been given their own Grand Campaign.
Not sure where that leaves the French release on the roadmap. Paid DLC or free community Update?
though i have to admit, the dlc prices are getting to paradox level if you want them all
