Game looks interesting - whats the dynamic campaign like?

The dynamic campaign is a gamemode where you research new units, recruit them, and attack enemy or defend your nodes (nodes are displayed on a "strategic" map, while actual attacks occur on in-game maps). All your troops will be transferred from battle to battle (so they'll keep all the stuff and experience they acquired).

Its rather.. poorly implemented IMHO right now. It's fine. But overall there are aspects of it that left me more frustrated with Dynamic Campaign than enjoying it. There are *were* a couple good mods however that fixed alot of this, opened up the unit selection and made the battles a little more even.
