UI Help needed [unit list disappeared]

after accidentally doing something the unit list on the left vanished, together with the unnit information on the bottom left. in order to quickly check fuel etc i need to scroll manually to the unit or bind it to a key. please tell me how to regain the old UI.

Hopefully this is the same thing that happened to me the other day, I couldn't find the unit list on the bottom left at all during play! But, if you look carefully where the unit list was, you'll see a very thin vertical yellow line. That's the unit list when it has collapsed so you see more of the screen. Click on the yellow line and your unit list should come back. Fingers crossed that's the issue you've got.

weird, i did reset my config files which did the trick. but you were right.

EDIT bc i typed something before deploying units. take an award for helping out!
