Everybody is different and likes different things.
Gates of Hell is more technical. So it's more realistic but its harder to learn.
As Saxhorn has stated, GOH is much harder to learn and not so much about timing and there is absolutely no base-building elements to it. I've sunk nearly 700 hours into this game so far and I have only been playing it off and on since its second DLC. I really enjoy it.
goh is more comparable to men of war: assault squad 2
coh2 is arcadey and fast paced, goh is realistic and slow paced
in coh2 you control entire squads of infantry and theres not much micro you can do, while in GOH you can directly control each individual soldier, they all have inventories, with ammo and medkits and supply of their own that you need to worry about, you can pick up individual firearms laying on the ground
GOH is a lot more micro intensive and you have a lot more fine control
if anything they are polar opposite, the only thing similar is that theyre both WW2 RTS
MoWAS2 goes always on sales for a few dollars if you want to have a taste before committing to GoH full game package.
CoH2 has also different playstyle and commands than GoH that you'll need some time to adjust to.
COH ai is non existant, can't compare these two games as one is arcade for kids and gamers who like multiplayer and a ruined genre (vanilla COH was gold) vs. the other is micro intensive game that tries to be immersive as hell and does a good job of it
Where GOH beats COH2/3 is the ability to play it as if it were Battlefield 1942. Giving yourself three AI team mates vs 3 enemy AI, and just playing as a single soldier/vehicle is an amazing experience!
If I had to chose just one though, it'd be COH2/3, simply because it's a more carefully balanced game and untimely more 'fun'. The big takeaway though is that you can own both, because they cover different types of gameplay.
Does coh2 do that?
While 122 mm IS 2 will kill tiger like a small cat.
Goh2 = war thunder.
Coh2 = war of tanks
