Make sure you bring at least 2-3 AA units with you and deploy them with or behind your heavy units or artillery. They will automatically target the plane. Air is non issue.
You can try to shoot the aircraft down with an AA unit using direct control but should you fail one of your units is going to eat a bomb.
Don't forget you can pause the game select a unit unpause the game and give the move order. This way you can move all units you think might be the target.
Thanks for all the replies .. I figured the AA was like you said even though I just started playing this . one can research AA but its better to keep units spread out etc.
Regarding the Pause thing .. a game l like this should only be attempted if one can Pause AND Give Orders which I realize is impossible one must do what you say pause find the unit unpause give it an order .. blah blah blah ...
Steel Division 2 enables one to give orders with a Pause this is essential though vacant in Ostfront ... essential to be able to perform because the computer gives 100 orders at once ..
There is a slow down setting but I have not fooled with it yet. Would be epic if one could pause and give orders.
Conquest uses the multiplayer engine so you can't alter the game speed.
3.7cm flak can shoot down any bomber in this game
Not always true. Once I had a single soldier, that I had sent ahead of his squad, targetted by a bomber. It looked very stupid, but then again war is always stupid.
