[FIXED] Can't play multiplayer and mods are missing

I didn't have this issue when I last tried playing 2 days ago, when I launch the game there's an orange square at the bottom left, the multiplayer buttons are greyed out and there's no mods in the extras tab

Edit: restarting Steam fixed it
