Though they have fixed it a little bit on defence missions by removing the 4th and further back the 5th point.
Back at 5 defence points the game last between 15 to 20 minutes and often you didn't have to protect a single point as the AI couldn't clear the AI defender defending the points in time.
Ignoring the whole prep time where our points still add up.
I work for minimal casualties as a habit, so I use artillery and tanks at long range to soften up the outposts. Notwithstanding, each persons strategy is different, and each has good and bad points. For my methods, which retain the soldiers and build their vetrancy, Id like a bit more time. ))
How many casualties do you get?
Though I have been infantry focused last couple of conquests to up my infantry play.
If you want to speed it up drastically use rocket artillery (heaviest nebel/katyusha/andryusha) those will annihilate everything on the point before you go in.
Could also use the gerat, but that thing is hellishly slow to move up and doesn't give you anything to loot afterwards... but hey, everything is dead.
