Coop with DLC
i have a friend who owns the base game, and i own the dlcs too, since he doesnt have the dlc he cant play on the maps of the dlc when we play coop, i have no trouble with that, i can disable the dlcs and play with him, the problem is each time i disable the dlc to play with him i have to download it again in order to play alone, there is a way around it i have not seen? i would like to have the dlcs installed but togle them on/off to play with mi friend.

Play a mission that isn't from a DLC.

The DLC missions have a big purple DLC in the menu.

Yeah, I had the same issue and left a negative review because of it. It's a developer oversight that should be addressed ESPECIALLY if they intend on releasing multiple DLC factions which WILL inevitably cause more DLC incompatibility and force purchases.

The easiest solution is the person with no DLCs hosts.

If you must host then you need to pick a mission on a "base" map on the deployment screen.

For the first mission you get a choice of three maps in a "very large" conquest but once you look at a map you can't then change it. So you'll need a list of the "base" maps which makes it all a bit too complicated.
In smaller conquests you won't get as many choices. I guess in some cases there may be no choice of map that isn't a DLC map.

When defending you get no choice but you can quit to the main menu and I've had the Conquest change maps. You can also start the mission solo and restart the mission. This will reset the game to the deployment screen and new maps will be randomly selected. If you have all the DLC this is cumbersome and may take many restarts to get a "base" map.

I'm not sure how popular playing Conquest in Co-op is so this may not get much developer attention. The fix may require a lot of work.

I agree with Big Boss that moving forward as more DLC are released this will become a bigger problem for players.

At this point in time there aren't any ideal solutions unless you call having everyone who you want to play with buy all the same DLCs as you.

IMO the DLC are a fair price for the "stuff" you get. I understand that not everyone will agree with my opinion.
