So it's not too helpful in that regard nor does it go into creating completely new maps.
But thank you nevertheless <3
Swing by the Gates of Hell mapping server, there are many resources and control shortcut's there! (Link in the steam discussions pinned messages)
If you are talking about the keybinds, different functions of the map making tool do the above but you can also watch video's from people like 123stealthbomber, the content is old and its and older game but the editor engine is exactly the same.
I to struggled in the beginning, you mainly gotta learn it through trial and error, a handfull of youtube video's, work that other player have done on the workshop and my number one reccomendation: Join the Gates Of Hell discord, people are of great help there.
I could even help you if need be. Anyways hope this helps, oh and here a link to a written out steam guide! : )

- Holding down the + and - on the right side of your keyboard (next to your numpad) change the size of the affected area.
- For flatten/smooth hold down shift+left click and drag over the terrain you want to flatten/smooth out
- tip: use fixed height to get consistend flat areas that are raised or lowerd and then shift+left click to smooth out the cliffs created by the sudden difference in terrain height
If you need anything else, I am happy to help
Its a good guide and worth checking out as it is the same for Gates of Hell editor to. The guide can be located in as follows; Men of War Assault Squad 2/mods/tools. Both map and mission guides come in two pdf's so one pdf for mapping and the other pdf for mission making. Pdf standing for, post document format. Best of luck.
@robf you already assisted me on the discord ;D
I'm Demonic_Emperor on there also haha
@tank thanks my dude!
I'll check it out. I just want to make clean new maps that
can be used in mine/others Dynamic Campaigns.
I used to make maps for the stronghold games, not that
I would post them much.
But, if I can get into the flow on this I may very well start making them
to share with the community.
