Laying Mines is usefull but not to remove them ?
Why the Hell should I ever get Mine-Layers ? Laying up a field takes to long and is only effect if you already know from which side the enemy comes from.

But the absolut nightmare is they even can not remove any mines at all. So you start a round get the info Minefield ahead and you have 0 chance to remove it or spot the mines with those useless Infantry-Percs of any kind.

Of course there are a lot of tons of other things going wrong but that is realy something that bothers me , I had 2 rounds now with 3-4 Minefields and it is nerv wrecking. I mean despite the fact that you can not alter the game speed or that tanks prefer to shot onto Infantery instead of the AT/AA/Arty-Gun or given orders to shot onto a specific enemy will be ignored. The 1st Person view is a joke it 10 times easier to do it from the 3rd Person view. Ultra Graphix should not mean I do no see a ♥♥♥♥. You can not even plot a way for vehicles for the most things you have to get a mod.
In this current Version I do not recommend a buy unless its 90%+ down.

You can detonate and remove many mines within radius of explosion when using something like satchel charges. Especially if you have no mine detectors but know where the mines are roughly.

Related to conquest, we are actually reducing the mine fields to a very rare occurrence chance as in general gameplay received buffs in other areas.

I use mines more as an automated booby trap

That's disappointing no more free mines for the next mission :(

If you do that get rid of the mine detector from the inventory of the pioneers becauae there will be no need for it.

8 squares of inventory for nothing.

Developers, please, remove AT and AP Mine Engineers from AI-Enemy roster. We know you can't make them plant mines, so they become weak infantry units carrying valuable loot. Or maybe, you could make these mines unable to pile up as those we harvest from field mines.

I was talking about the ones that don't stack.

You use a mine detector to find them and then you can recover them.

That's why I said I don't want my pioneers to have mine detectors anymore. 8 wasted inventory spaces for something that no longer has any use.

Okay after 350 hours I now got it. Pioneers as the one wrote are having Minedetectors...makes so much meaning...like NONE. Why should the Pioneers from WW2 have Minedetectors , their duty/service was totaly different from those of our modern days.
The entire time I thought that those who lay the Mines (Engineers) are also capable of removing them , but Hell no that makes for your Devs absolutly no Reason. If you only would get a small Unit Infotext or something...for me I realy can not follow that Logic. Makes 0 sense but now I get why you have to remove the Fields if no one gets YOUR LOGIC. Take a Step Back and just think...

You Want to Remove Mines ? Get yourself Pioneers...24points for 2 Minedetectors. :frag:

Any soldier can lay mines. They just need them in their inventory.

The soldiers you purchase come with mines in their inventory and can go to an engineering truck to resupply new ones if they use them.

IT IS ABOUT REMOVING ENEMY MINES ^^ How to find and eliminate them , for that you need the Pioneers for 24points and not those AP/AT Minelayer Squad^^

Engineer truck has mine detectors as well, among other stuff.

Any soldier can use a mine detector. You just need to have one and equip it as his weapon.

Any soldier can remove mines once they have been detected by a mine detector. This does not apply if you are the one who put the mines down. Mines are single use only. You can't move them once you have placed them.

You seem to be describing a conquest defence match with out actually telling us that.

On "hardcore" when you attack there are minefields already on the map for some missions (not all). Once you have used a mine detector to identify where each mine is any other soldier can go pick it up.

In the two man Engineer squad - 1 guy has a mine detector.
You need to research "engineers" before you get the AT otr AP mine layers.
So you already have access to one mine detector.

In the pioneer squad 2 guys have mine detectors.

I agree with Saxhorn. And in addition, if you play with wehrmacht, pay attention to your Defense-AI because very often has pioneeers. So you might get 1 or 2 mine detectors looting dead pioneers bodies. Also, Russian Enemy-AI sends Field Engineers, a squad of two engineers in which one of them carries 1 mine detector. As you can see, you can also get detectors without unlocking (research) these units from the tech tree.
