Stop tank automatic rotation
Something I notice that is a big difference from men of war is that you can't lock movement on a tank, i find it so frustrating that when I get my tank in optimal position with strongest part of armour facing enemy, that it will then just automatically rotate to face whatever nearest enemy there is.

I want the option to toggle hold movement or not like in men of war

Turn the engine off. The hull won't rotate if the engine is off.

AFAIK Nothing you can do about the turret.

if you set it to anti-tank shell, and lock shell switching,
i think it shouldn't rotate unless there is enemy vehicle
in range.

but the body doesn't rotate anyway, except on fixed gun if you set movement to free.
(the hand icon)
still you can turn engine off for more stealth

coax MG will still rotate the turret to engage infantry

thats the thing, hold position mode / move at will mode both get the same result. The body of the tank is always rotating to face the nearest enemy

on another note I hate the tank turret stuck to facing rear after engaging targets ages ago.

No, seriously. At least it never did so for me, ever.

Regular tanks (thouse who have a turret) aim with with the turret. They don't turn the hull, unless you activate 'move at will'.

Assault guns and tank hunters (tank w/o a turret) always aim with their hull, they have to. There's a separate flag in the .def-file for that. This can be disabled my turning of the engine.

Btw, you can limit the turning angle of turrets in the .def-file. You just need to add one line (for each tank). I've been playing for years with my tanks limited to +/-90°. Since tanks don't aim with their hulls it means they ignore everything thats behind them.

This was driving me nuts earlier, my tigers kept rotating turrets backwards to shoot machine guns at infantry and the turret traverse takes forever. If you put it on hold fire does that fix it?
