it's might be flawed in some aspects but does appear to be fairly popular.
I'm glad it's in even if its current form doesn't appeal to me.
A dev built DCG would be more my thing and I beleive a mod is on its way.
but yes, a more refined, tailored version would be groovy.
Attacking is always the same and done within 5-10 Minutes.
Defending is just parkig your units and supply them with Ammo.
But there is not much movement or tactical play. You basicly just have to hold out and grind out the masses for 30 minutes
The current conquest was included fairly late development i believe because it was based on the Call to Arms conquest system. Devs have plans to develop it but as a game you also have Singleplayer, Skirmish, MP with early, mid and late war. This is a lot of game modes and content, so I guess they have limited resources and have to focus on different areas. If you want something more challenging and with more variety then i recommend Conquest Enhanced mod and Conquest Enhanced Missions by MrCookie.
Hes saying instead of fixed points where its always attack then defend why not have a free range RTS or TBS system where you can attack enemies wherever you want.
The problem with conquest is its structure with fixed nodes. once you switch out the nod by nod, attack defend rinse and repeat to a more open formed move around the map like total war then youll get out of the repetitive cycle conquest currently leaves us in. i have never completed one conquest due to how its literally the same thing over and over.
Also i play on hardcore and maybe lost like 10 games against AI,they are highly predictable and each mission all you have ot do is rinse and repeat your same strategy.
