Do we know if the wire cutters actually work in the game or not, please?

I don't think they can, the other day I had some engineers crawl up to a barbed wire fence and there was no prompt to use them maybe the devs will eventually add the feature

does it work like the picaxe? meaning engineer cant place barb wire without it ?

Just had my engineer drop everything in his inventory. But he can still place barbwire.

From the men of war age i remember wirecutters were purely a decoration and for them to work you had to make a script in the editor
