Report a translation problem
For doing a 3 Star Research mission, you will recieve a total of 6-7 at the end (On hardcore, Game play difficulty may also affect it).
Where as doing a 1 star Research mission will award only 3-4.
You get the static +3 Research and then it's multiplied.
Edit: So when I play Hardcore Dynamic campaign, I always restart until I have a 3 star Research mission, so I can kick start my tech to keep up with the AI.
I remember finding it suicidal for my troops to try and go toe to toe with the AI defender infantry. The defenders (on a 3 star mission playing hardcore) were almost all paratroopers, black sea fleet, recon spec ops, some snipers and flamethrowers whilst my troops were tier 2 (or 3 at best). There were some tier 2 defenders but they were the AT rifle soldiers and AT rifle grenadier soldiers.
You could just sit an infantry gun back 140-150m from the flag and shell the defenders - once they were dead you just walked in and capped the flag. So it was pretty easy to beat the game but it was pretty boring to play it that way.
On a one star mission the defenders were mostly Guards infantry with a few of the higher tier troops. No snipers and no spec ops. There were fewer soldiers around with AT Rifles and AT rifle grenades.
I think the devs toned the tier of defenders down with the lastest patch because it was pretty bloody hard to fight against them in a fun way at least at the start of conquest where your own troops were all lower tier.
A lot of newer players were finding it very rough.
I haven't played a lot of Conquest since the latest release so I'm not sure what it's like now.
I did on a single recent Conquest game find the loot was what I'd term "junk". I think because the higher tier enemy defenders were missing but maybe that was just a bad random roll and I only got low tier defenders.
