Do i need to buy base call to arms ?

Im wondering will we have to buy the base game to play this and if so will this be lowered price? I can give an example about Total war shogun 2 fall of the samurai dlc where the dlc costs half like a new game but you can play it withnout the base game.

You need at least Call to arms basic edition (NOT FREE) in your account to play Gates of Hell. on release, you can get a copy for a reduced price when you buy GOH.

Guess il wait for the next steam sale so i can buy Call to arms :D is the upgraded edition worth it or i should just buy the basic one ?

Yes you will need to buy the base game, GoH will officially released as an dlc for CtA (engine copyright reasons). I'm not sure if you need to have CtA installed for the final game, beta is a standalone so my guess the release version will be too. FAQ doesn't give a clear answer.

Base game is great, if you want ww2 content there are good mods available.
