Tanks only target tanks

I found out that if your tank runs out of HE shells it won't use other shell types on infantry and what i did was remove all HE shells from my stugs at the start of a round which made them only focus other vehicles/armored enemies

Kinda ridiculous that this is still needed after their big patch tbh. I forgot to do it in a game and lost 3 tanks because I had to micro some infantry and while I wasnt spam right clicking on them to attack a tank they saw 3 infantry moving in the open and changed to HE while the tank was still alive. Just right clicking on a tank should force them to attack that tank while it's still alive.

I mostly have good experience with the AI behaviour of AT guns. Quite often when I frantically press E and T on a gun to fight a tank and search for it, it already explodes hit by the AI. Strange that tanks seemingly behave different. Although, in most armies before and at the beginning of the war tanks were not meant for fighting tanks as their main task, so it's kind of historically accurate, in a certain way.

I know that most tanks are meant for infantry support its usually just stugs with long barrels and SU-85's that are frustrating when they focus engaging infantry even thou i have medium or light tanks for that purpose
