The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut

Upgrading Godlike Items
To anyone that has actually gotten one of the two godlike items currently in the game, have you been able to upgrade them? If you have please inform me. I don't believe this feature has been implemented yet and I'd like to know. I'm working on a mod, and I'd like to make Godlike items worth using until they're upgradable, but if they already are then I can just make the rest that they've made actually droppable.

My mod is out, which fixes the current state of Godlike items being unobtainable, and set items being broken: http://steamcommunity.com/app/400170/discussions/0/490125737479241823/

What do you mean with "upgrading" godlikes? Putting essences in them, adding additional enchants from Saffi, what exactly?

If you check the achievements, challenges, hover over the fate point display, acquire a godlike item, etc. you'll see that you're supposed to be able to level up godlike items to increase its stats but there doesn't appear to be any way to do it yet

Hmm, that's interesting, I haven't read it before.

So it's probably some hidden feature, like the way you unlock all the enchants of Excalibur by doing different actions with it. But it's just my speculation. Someone competent should spread a light on this.

In their defense, they delayed the game twice right before it was supposed to be released and got so much ♥♥♥♥ for that they pretty much had to release it this time even though they obviously needed more time. But yeah, early access would have been perfect and I dunno why that wasn't an option. I hope they plan to fix all this stuff soon though. They probably underestimated how fast people can reach endgame.

They don't underestimate that and they work on all described and fixable issues. But some issues aren't clear in details, the solutions for others require more time to be applied without breaking another thing. It's not an easy task.

And the game is pretty much finished product, the issues aren't so many.

You upgrade the God-likes in Final Cut in a similar fashion to the way you do it in Deathtrap. Same principle and result, using Fate Points instead, from what I've been able to gather.

But how is that exactly, for those of us, who haven't played Deathtrap?

Wait what? Has anyone even found a godlike item yet? I've opened over 20 gold chests with nothing but epics and greens.

As I've read in another topic(s) probably the only way to get Godlike for now is to purchase them from Pigasus.

Okay, you understand the principle. It supposedly says you can upgrade them with fate points. But how do you actually do it. From what I've gotten, it's an unimplemented feature as of this version. The ONLY person with the achievement for upgrading a Godlike hacked his game to give all achievements.

You can't get Godlikes in the current version at all. Everything about end game loot is totally broken. Get my mod here:http://steamcommunity.com/app/400170/discussions/0/490125737479241823/ It fixes all the issues with end game gear, except being able to upgrade godlikes. That is something only Neocore can do.

Each God-like has ten hidden bonus enchantments beyond having three or four base enchantments that you can see. You unlock them one at a time by purchasing them using a special crafting currency in Deathtrap. The cost goes up by a flat value for each new upgrade, for example:

30 Essence: +50 Fire Damage
40 Essence: +10% critical hit
50 Essence: +25% Magic Find

etc, etc, up to about 125 Essence required to unlock the tenth, usually extremely powerful, enchantment. Each God-like has enchantments specific to the item type--basically Axes for the Mercenary melee class grants combat stats like +crit or +Defense while Robes for the Enchantress caster class have mana-management or spellpower enchantments, that sort of thing.

How do you upgrade them in deathtrap. Like what button do you press, do you bring them to an NPC, do you use something on them? It might help me figure out how to upgrade them. I really want to be sure they can't be upgraded before I do something to them.

There is a crafting interface in Deathtrap that has a specific button for Upgrading. It is accessed by the control panel interface at the bottom of the main Map screen in Deathtrap. No NPCs are involved, and the Store page is separated from it. When you enter the correct page, you drag-and-drop or right-click a God-like from your character inventory or the Stash while on this window to select which God-like you want to upgrade. Then just click the button on that interface marked "Upgrade" to buy the next one in line.

You can look to see if there's any code associated with crafting or that would change the interface to allow for a feature like that, but I don't know how they planned to implement the feature in Final Cut for certain, so I'm not sure what else to suggest.

If I can get my game running later, I'll take some screenshots for it, but no guarantees. I'm unhappy to say that the latest Beta patch I was testing broke the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and now I can't get it running because of some "Galaxy64.dll" error that I haven't had the energy to troubleshoot.

Deathtrap has "crafting resources"(=Fate Pojnts) which you spend on unlocking their new modifiers.
In Final Cut, however, it is very well may be the riddle wisp of equipment.

Was there any kind of crafting in the previous VH games? I only played the first one, and when it was brand new. I ask because there are references to crafting in this game's english string files (which contain all the text data from like in-game menus, tutorials, tooltips, etc.) but there's also references to stuff I KNOW was only in previous VH games, like the other classes, so I have no idea which is just obsolete stuff they didn't want to bring to final cut.
