T1: Umbralist, Constructor
T2: Elementalist,
T3: Bounty Hunter
T4: Protector, Phlostigoneer
Umbralist has a broken aura that does % max hp damage, that can instantly kill monsters with the right build. This makes him way too strong regardless of the difficulty he can one or two shot the hardest bosses.
Constructor's minions scale with the difficulty, giving him a huge advantage over other classes when playing on harder difficulties.
Elementalist has some abusable skills, he can be invulnerable 100% of the time with enough cooldown reduction, he does a ton of damage, and some of his skills are capable of permanently stunning.
Bounty Hunter is just your run of the mill ranged character. Does a lot of damage, has the advantage of being ranged.
Phlosty is just really underpowered, all of his skills are pretty weak compared to other classes. He can be fairly tanky but that means nothing when monsters can still one shot you on casual on any class.
Protector just doesn't have the damage to do much very fast. His clear speed is horrible compared to other classes, and you have to put most of your points into defensive stats just to survive.
As to what's fun? Well that's just personal opinion and all of the classes can be fun, but eventually you realize what's powerful and what's not, and it can get in the way of enjoying yourself.
This is a nice list you have there.
However it is completely off topic!
Well at least you didn't advertise your balance mod for fc here ;)
I tied it into the topic with the last paragraph ;)
If you really want to know what I played it was Protector, with some Constructor. I did try them all but those are the two I leveled past 30.
Thanks that's what i wanted to know ;)
I'm playing the game on Inhuman Ordeal 4 with my lvl 90 bounty hunter atm, so i know my way around the game. (without your mod, since i fear my gear will be lost once necore fixes the balancing, but great job with that one)
i just want to have a rough estimation about what are the most played classes
How well do you do on Inhuman 4, and what build are you using?
I use a glass cannon build with my bounty hunter (level 90) based on Precision Shot and Exploding Scattershot both maxed with all masterys and the damage and pierce/spread powerups. As utility i'm using Haste and Ethereal Embodiment for escapes and to keep some distance to mobs. Further i'm using Seekermatons maxed with +1 seekermaton powerup and Ghostly Mirage.
Auras: Recklessness, Clear Shot, Battle Stance (all maxed with every mastery)
And since i die as soon as an enemy even so much as scratches me i relly heavily on a Katarina build based on tankiness and melee dps. That gives me enough time to get a few Precision Shots on marked targets.
My current DPH with Precision shot is 183000 damage and DPS with Exploding Scattershot is 31000 damage.
But since i'm a glass cannon i die due to the smallest errors ;)
The damage can no longer crit, but vulnerability still affects the damage. Also, even if it was only 20% max hp no matter what, that still means that all you have to do to kill the toughest bosses in the game is do that 5 times. That's insane no matter how you look at it. Elementalist can still have an 80% uptime on his invulnerability, easily. He has so many tools to give himself cooldown reduction, and its on so many items, trophies etc.
That's the problem with being a tester. I have to have multiples of all classes and varying levels, and it's not good for me to get attached to any one class or build.
With that said, I prefer to play around with Constructor and Protector. The concepts appeal to me, not the power, so they're slightly less 'grind-y' feeling when I play them.
I do have a Bounty Hunter that I use for farming, and I sort of enjoy him, but I can't really say he's fun to play.
You should have seen the Constructor before the scaling boost. There was a point between v0.0.2 and v0.0.4 where they were almost unplayable because the minions had absolutely no ability to absorb damage and Katarina was a paper tiger.
They did nerf a couple of his Skills/Perks in the last two patches to reduce the up-time of his invulnerability. He's still strong, but not completely impervious anymore.
What a coincidence! I'm also playing a Constructor with the same reason! imo, they are not really that intensive to play and you get to have fun with it as well.
The problem is that now the constructor has an advantage that no other class has. His basic abilities scale to the difficulty. It should never be like that, because it downplays the basic idea of difficulty settings in the first place.
Right now, my constructor actually has a harder time on casual than he does on inhuman 3.
