Reset Skill Points How?

I've unlocked the ability to reset points at the Romany camp.
The guy says to hit "-"to reclaim a point.
No button I've tried seems to work. Am I just misunderstanding the process?

Top of my head, its the guy next to Saffri. When you look at the skills, there is a plus/minus sign by them. Subtract the points you wish to remove.
