The deal about Glory...
Anyone here who could share some insight as to when Glory caps, what I should aim to use my points at and if there really is no reset option? I'm by now 40-something into my glory and playing the Enhanced Mod for this title.

It seems that past rank 5 I need 2 skillpoints to rank up each stat - and presumably, 3/e past rank 10? Am I wasting my points by ranking a handful of categories to 5? (currently going crit, crit, mana phys res, defense and dogde)

Also, do we know if the glory stats exceed cap? As I've been unable to respec them I have only my base asumption to go off of, being that it does(?) - though I have nothing to confirm this.

I have yet to scavenge the forum for posts regarding glory, and I'm hoping to find some wise chap enlisting all of my concerns elsewhere, if so, I'll edit this imidiately after my finding, but in case I should come back empty-handed I'd like to leave this open

Thanks for taking the time reading my, already 3rd, post and all the help you lot have offered up untill now! (I know, I got lots of questions, my apologies!)

Warmest greetings; Nubarion, Denmark

I do agree that there is definitely too few ingame information regarding glory (as well as about a lot of other things :D ).
Of all of questions above i can answer only that after 10 lvl stats does require 3points\1lvl

Alright, figured as much, that makes it rather troublesome to cap one stat (imo) if you get 1point/level and cap were to be 100, as I've read other places.

Thanks for chipping in with the confirmation of that! ^^ I've been well too spread out to get one 10 yet, though I'm closing in.

I fear I wont be able to cap my categories and that I spread my wishes too far, haha!

According to the link - 100 is not cap
Nubarion Aug 24, 2016 @ 4:57am
Yea, I saw that, but I've also seen alot of mentions towards it being capped @ 100

Just the opposite. I've mentioned repeatedly that it does not cap at 100. It goes to at least 200, and it's likely the cap is 300.

Now for the questions:

1) No, there is no reset option. Whatever you spend your points in, that's it. Glory also carries between characters, so whatever you spend your points on for a Bounty Hunter, it will provide the same bonuses to a level 100 Protector/Umbralist/etc.

2) Rank 1-5 is 1 point per bonus. Rank 6-10 is 2 points per bonus. Rank 11-15 is 3 points per bonus.

3) Glory bonuses do not allow you to exceed existing soft caps. They function like any other enchantment in that respect.

I can always count on Datguy13 to know the answer to my worries, man, you're a lifesaver! Thank you so much ^^!

If it can go even past 200, then I'd eventually want to spend points into the stats I've started so far!

Edit: Oh btw! I still remember that you helped me out with my questions related to the mines, and I'm happy to report that I'm no longer struggling with them!
Not only am I sitting on a 3,5k - 5k - 5k resistances with 4,5k defense, but the luck of the draw granted me a few godlike items which I've upgraded and through those gained alot of toughness including HP, went from 3k HP to 12K HP!

I also tried the burst movement, and it quite did the trick, luckily, I can now use my hit-kite-repeat playstyle again w/o further consideration of the proximity mines!

About this - bonuses work to characters under 100lvl too. At least my only %cdr bonus applied to all my characters.

Yes, Datguy13 is invaluable community member not only for his knowledge on the game, but mostly for his desire and dedication to help people. He sometimes shares his knowledge somewhat discretely, following the principle to show the people the door, but let them go through it alone.

@Nubarion: What do you, mean by "burst movement"? The Frenzied Rush Aura (if I mistaken it's name, I mean the Aura that gives you movement speed bonus, when you're at max rage) or something else? Thanks in advance!

Nono Geotarrr, I was told to try the proximity mine levels by moving in bursts, as to move rapidly throughout small sections of time, worked really well with my dmg immunity CD mostly

Now I'm happy to say that the mines are no major concern of mine however as they pop me for about 500/e, where as I'm sitting on 12K HP thanks to some newly found gear I got late yesterday!

Glad to be of service.

I make a point with most aspects of the game to point players in the right direction then allowing them to make their own specific choices so that they can learn the mechanics and feel like they're in control of their own character creation. I always find it more satisfying to figure things like that out on my own, so I don't want to spoil that exploratory element for others. Sometimes though, like with hidden mechanics or a particularly frustrated player, it's necessary to just answer the question in a straightforward manner.

At this point in the game's age though, I'm considering writing a few guides if I could get off my lazy ass. :igor:

Fair warning about Glory, btw:

It gets slow and costly to gain levels after the lvl 150 mark. On average it takes me anywhere from five to ten maps to gain a single level if I clear the whole map now at level 180. I'm currently gathering data to see if the "xp" bonuses for Difficulty apply or not right now, come to think of it.

I thought that was the case, but I don't spend enough time with lower level characters in Adventure Mode to have taken the time to confirm it. Most of my time has been spent running the Story Mode with new characters looking for bugs and bad script triggers in the story or bugs in character progression. I do have a couple of characters I play regularly in Adventure Mode, but they're all level 100. I avoid taking lower level characters in Adventure unless I need to do a specific type of Daily with a class I haven't completed yet.

I can respect your methods Datguy13, and I'm glad you're here to help out new people like myself, it's a great help to have a place like this forum with guys like you and others to answer my questions so quickly!

And in regards to Glory affecting lower level characters, I started leveling a few of my alts as to acompany my bounty hunter later down the road (I wish to try all classes @ 100, atleast with 1 build/setup each as they all seem interesting and different to my PoV)

I will say though, for what I played my umbralist yesterday in story mode levels 1-6 (roughly) I started with bonuses to my crit dmg, chance and dmg reduc, suggesting that Glory attribute bonuses apply regardless of level and/or gamemode, have had yet to try out adventure mode, but I doubt it'll be much different there!

Absolutely, I've said the previous comment about Datguy13's approach in helping entirely in positive notion.

But nontheless I would like to read some guides from him. I like to read guides mostly to see the authors' perspective, to enrich my own knowledge on the game and eventually to polish further my own playstyle (without changing it much, only to refine it in respect to the game's fundamentals).

Indeed, I myself isn't much of a sucker for guides, I enjoy putting my own ideas into motion and see how they unfold, that ofc leads to some less impressive results at times, but I like that side about it aswell!

That being said however, outside inspiration is always a welcome input for sure, even though I tend to get awfully sceptical in those sort of situations, but that's something I've got to work on myself, haha!
