FYI DX9 is alot more stable than DX11.

I haven't crashed once on DX9 in over 6 hours of play. On DX11 it's about every 40 mins.

How do the graphics look? Is there any difference to it? I haven't crashed yet, thing is I didn't know there was a choice. How do I find out what DX version I am playing on?

In the video options there is a button for advanced settings. I don't know what the default keybind is for keyboard cause it only shows it as a controller button for me. I had to dig around for a solution to my wonky capped 53fps so I had to set the frame limit to unlimited then turn v-sync on to get locked 60.

Just because the game doesn't crash in DX9 for you doesn't mean the game is more stable in DX9. The issue could well be on your end. Ive played hours of Van Helsing in DX11 and the game has never crashed for me.

Sorry to butt into your topic but any instability could easily be something specific to your System, background software or game install.

"The game has never crashed for me in DX11 therefore it is 100% your PC"


See how that doesnt work. It is more than possible for it to be your PC.

Think that if you wish but you are just fooling yourself. It could be an issue at your end and anyone who knows PC’s and software just a little bit knows that. My original post simple stated the issue "could" be on your end and pointed out that my game has not crashed once using DX11.

I did not say it was definitely at your end and i didn't insult you in any way. I did not try hijack the thread as thats impossible if i am discussing the issue that you posted about in the original post. You don’t seem to understand how forums work m8.

The fact that some else tells you the same thing as me doesn't mean he is my friend or ganging up on you with me and im afraid having a hissy fit and storming out just makes you look even more foolish. There may be an issue at your end and I, the other poster or some one else could have helped you sort it out but your childish responses have made that unlikely but I will wager that something you are used to in forums and probable IRL.

Yep, I use DX11 as well and have many hours in this game with no crashes in both SP and MP modes.

But since it seems to be a child that made this post, will not offer to help him/her fix the issues causing the instability.

It's good others responded and noted they personally had no problem with DX11 and the game. Otherwise this thread could have easily turned many off the game for no good reason.

DX11 is completely screwy for me at 3440 x 1440. It just won't correctly display the game at all, just text is visible.
