It appeared after the online server changes early this year, as one of many different bugs and issues related to char online storage; I feel it's related to a comms. breakdown whilst in play, where on reconnect the game can't update some parts of the game/item progress and the char often stops progressing after a game restart.
This is sometimes accompanied by item duplication, dupes usually occurring in both the VH Inv. and in main Storage.
If you do find dupe items, transfer them to Kat's Inv. from the initial Adventure screen after a fresh login using Shift+Right Click and then enter the Adv. Lair and do the same from Storage. Try to either use them as fodder for Forging a fresh Item, or simply dump them in an Adventure.
Once you've removed any dupes the game should continue to make progress once more - though (esp. of you have a poor/flaky connection?) it might happen again in the future.
Neither method works 100% (perhaps because of other dupes now residing on a different char., maybe some Essences/Candles are duped (how would you know which!?), or maybe some other factor that I've yet to get a handle on.
Since I know the Chimera isn't really usable in Adventure mode if that's the only problem I have it will eventually not be an issue once I finish the game.
Neocore, this is a problem that needs fixing, please
I kind a doubt anything will get fixed though. Bugtracker or not.
Still not fixed tho ...
Since this is my first character on the Final Cut version of this game, I thought it was a general and pervasive bug on the game. I'm glad to hear that it doesn't always happen, per OldFartAtPlay.
