Does anyone know how you use a suitcase?

Supposedly the 1.0.6 version made suitcases into containers you can use, but I've yet to figure out how you do it in the UI. I've tried. Many times. It just doesn't seem to let me.
I can put a suitcase into my bag, and take it out of my bag, and when I hold the suitcase in hand it has an option for "open", but there seems to be no interface for how to move an item from my normal bag inventory to the suitcase inventory.

Has anyone ever gotten this to work, and if so, how? This is just a mouse-click user interface question here. I'm not talking about any hacking.

You need to put the suitcase down first, then take the item you want to put in the suitcase in your hand then you should be able to right click the suitcase to put the item inside.

Oh.. use it while its on the floor, THEN pick it up. Seems obvious now.
