[SPOILER] Stuck after Ivan does the experiment

Hi,

So Ivan made an experiment that made him go to the Internet, Monad is missing and she's also into Internet, and i've heard of a guy named Albert who's apparently also into the internet, so i went in the internet by editing the code of a trashcan and slurping on the object, i found Ivan who is corrupted, i went back to the lodge, Pixie is depressed, Araki tells me to go to Albert's place wich i did and he say he went to some Outpost, Yulian has nothing to say, same for Frank.
I tried to found this Outpost but no idea where it is.
I went into monad's apartment i found a hard drive but it seems to be empty.

Outpost is the name of a server near Ivan. Albert and his wife live nearby -- look for a door, no slurping required. But I don't think you strictly need to meet them to beat the game, even if you're trying to follow the plot closely. You've made it into Monad's apartment, but how about her office?

Where is Monad's office ? In the ministry ?

Minor hint: you've basically done all the plot there is; your next step doesn't require anything plot-triggered. Bigger hint: You might need to look again -- Monad is the secretive type. ;)

What i understand now is that the ministry is evil and have turned Ivan into some kind of internet people but I don't really know why they do that. Monad sees Ivan as some kind of child and she's the one who have decided to capture Ivan, she looks pretty crazy, to me, what i need is a way to stop her and save Ivan from the Internet.
I suppose i could just teleport to Monad but i don't know the functions, i've visited the room with the mainframe but no teleporters

so i found what i was supposed to find in monad's office, and I broke the heart something did happened but it didnt give me a clue of what to do next

i also tried teleporting to Monad twice and she killed me, end of the game lol

Did you learn what Monad was using the Heart for? It's not stated outright in the game but there are strong hints in her apartment. If you know what heroic act breaking the Heart accomplished, you'll probably have a good idea of whom to talk to next.

A hint for Garawan50: now is a great time to experiment with self corruption; figure out what causes it and cures it! Try to spot a corruption victim somewhere and fix it.

I have no idea what I'm supposed to find :c.
Looked into her apartment for a long time, i found nothing more, i read again her computer but can't find a clue.
I'm gonna try to experiment with corruption then. I know that Ivan is corrupted but I can't find anything to cure him
EDIT: ok, since the heart is dead, it doesn't corrupt him again

I also found a diskette called Miman, found a name in it but it doesn't exists

So i got one ending where I have to leave the town because the ministry is after me, but it's kind of a frustrating ending, i couldnt say goodbye to anyone and the ministry is still there, is there a better ending than that ?
Anyway, thanks for your help, i don't think i would have succeed without you, it was a really great game

You got it, man. :) That's about as ending as it gets. I didn't mind the loose threads so much myself, but I would've liked more options. You *can* free Ivan without breaking the Heart but the ending is the same -- Pixie's dialogue is vague enough to accommodate it, and the ministry still comes after you, just because you freed Ivan. I'd have liked an option for more misanthropic players, to break the Heart without freeing Ivan. :p Also tried to de-corrupt Albert, but nothing happened -- maybe he has his own means to keep himself corrupted.

Haha poor Ivan. Out of curiosity, how can you cure Ivan without breaking the heart ?
And do we know why Monad wanted to capture Ivan ? What was he final goal, didnt get that From now i think i'll hope for a sequel lol, something like pixie and the other from the resistance come to the city where Sebastian went (maybe his hometown), and they would go after the ministry once and for all.

The trick with freeing Ivan is the hint I was referring to, somewhere in Monad's apartment: it's a floppy disk (?) with some unfinished code, something like

So what I did was find a computer nearby, and create a countervailing program that would repeatedly set his corruption to 0. At the time, I was too freaked out to break the Heart! After wandering from Dorisburg to the Internet and back a few times, I was afraid it would just break reality. :p

You can also save Ivan by getting a drink with 99999% and Corruption(-99999).

This way he gets out of the Internet and goes to Pixie's apartment.

The thing is that when I talk to them in Pixie's apartment I can say that I destroyed the Heart when I actually didn't and the ministry wants to kill me anyways.

I saw that happeen to DemAllTook... I suspect he took Monad's harddrive from her apartment; breaking her computer... Which is another way to win! If you reload a save before you save Ivan and return her hard drive it might allow you to continue where you left off... It would be nice to confirm that is ro is not what caused the premature win so I would thank you if you replied to me with your results!

At first I called DisconnectAll() on the Hearth, beacause I managed to Slurp() on it, and Ivan was connected as an INVALID TARGET, but if you list all connections with GetConnections() you can see that he IS connected. This was before I moved the Heart and peeked into it's code.

I thought I managed to save Ivan by this but with some more experimenting I found out that sometimes if you call any funciton on the Heart, you might break the loop that keeps Ivan corrupted. So it's pretty easy to break the heart without "breaking" it. Maybe it was my anti sleep loop that messed up the corruption loop, who knows...
