when i started playing around with the resolution i got it to fit to my screen but the elgato doesnt have it fullscreen it has the black bars at the bottom which are very annoying. anyone know how to fix this?
The commands for the width and height of the game window are -w and -h, and you would use them like this:
-w 1366 -h 768
Hope this helps!
Edit: Editing this since people apparently keep finding this old thread so all of the relevant info is in one place. Putting "-windowed -noborder" in the launch options in addition to your screen resolution makes sure the title bar for the window doesn't push the bottom of your screen off the bottom of your monitor. The full launch options would be like this: "-w <width> -h <height> -windowed -noborder", without the quotations. I also like adding "-console" so the dev console opens on startup.
Who cares how old the thread is if there's relevant information to add to it? What's the point of complaining about that?
am i T.R.I.G.G.E.R.I.N.G you? Also this is very useful and works in all source games (and more) so (bump) ;)
