Can you fit the GMod window to your screen?
I record my gameplay with OBS and OBS can't record a full-screen game, so I run GMod in a window. However, the window extends beyond the bottom of my screen, cutting off some of the game, and the "Maximize" button is grayed out, so I can't fit the window to my screen like I can for other Steam games. I've tried going to change the resolution of the game, but the only options I get do nothing to change the vertical height of the window and I can't enter in my own values for the resolution. I've tried moving the window up to see if I can adjust the window size by clicking and dragging the bottom border, but the bottom border never makes it on to my screen. Is there a way to get the entire game window to be within my screen without buying a whole new laptop with a bigger screen?
If it helps, my screen's resolution is 1366x768, and the only options the game's "Options" menu gives me are that and 1360x768.

You can try doing something with the launch options, which can be accessed by right clicking Gmod in your Steam Library, clicking on "Properties", and then clicking on "Set Launch Options".
The commands for the width and height of the game window are -w and -h, and you would use them like this:
-w 1366 -h 768
Hope this helps!

Edit: Editing this since people apparently keep finding this old thread so all of the relevant info is in one place. Putting "-windowed -noborder" in the launch options in addition to your screen resolution makes sure the title bar for the window doesn't push the bottom of your screen off the bottom of your monitor. The full launch options would be like this: "-w <width> -h <height> -windowed -noborder", without the quotations. I also like adding "-console" so the dev console opens on startup.

You can fullscreen border less with setting launch launch options => -windowed -noborder

thanks for reviving a year old thread that has already been answered.

He gave a better answer. -windowed -noborder creates a full screen window that actually fits the screen (not offset by a non-removable title bar). Just specifying width and height leaves the title bar in place, which cuts off the bottom of the window if the screen's full resolution is supplied.

Who cares how old the thread is if there's relevant information to add to it? What's the point of complaining about that?
