Missing Map...Disconnecting

Hi All:

I've been trying to play the GMod murder gamemode. However, when I try to connect to any map that isn't "Clue" i begin downloading the server's plugins like normal, but after that I get a

missing map <map name> disconnecting

error and am booted from the server.

I've done some digging and found this forum post about the same issue. I've tried everything discussed in that forum. I even just reinstalled GMod completely, and it still didn't work.

The OP said that he figured it out and that it was a problem with Internet Explorer. This is the only thing that I can think of that may be my problem, since I've tried everything else. However, IE 11 doesn't have 'Offline Mode" anymore, so that can't be the problem, can it?

If anyone...ANYONE...has any other possible solutions, please let me know. I've been at this for a few hours.

then that means you dont have a specific map.

If the map name starts with cs_ then download this. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=197322649

The answer is clearly obvious.
YOU DON'T HAVE THE MAP.
Join a different server where the owner has actually set up there server correctly so it down loads the map to you.

Ok, well it used to work just fine about 4 months ago when I stopped playing the game, now it doesn't it. It allows some maps to download ive tried everything. Im not sure. Sometimes when you try to find the map online to manually put into your files, there is no copy or anything of it online so you're not able to go onto the server even if you search for the map, because it isn't there.

i am having the same problem for the -ICE- Darkrp server, the map's name is rp_downtown_ice_v3 or something like that, this is completely autistic and i bought ♥♥♥♥ for the game and i was a donator of the server.
