Auto Save

I hadn't played this game for ages, and when I did...I quick saved all of the time. I was teaching someone how to play last night, and I wasn't in control. She didn't quicksave like I would have, so when she died it took her back ....waaaay back. Shouldn't the game at least save every level automatically?

It does autosave.
Some players disable autosaves in "source" games to prevent the stuttering that can occur. To see how (to do the opposite), look at the "Disabling Autosave" section of this guide:
