its kind of sad how little people actually understand about Lovecraft works - only the common tropes like cult, detective, giant monster in the ending.
not bad walking simulator tho
If you believe this game is not lovecraftian, I suggest you start reading some Lovecraft stories and Chaosium products.
i think games like dark wood or bloodborne are much more lovecraftian then this.
In those games you dont even have a proper story to progress, but manage to tell a much better tale still.
You dont have journal entires or books lying around, no characters who will just explain exposition to you for no reason - you have to search far and wide to find clues and bring pieces together like a detective, not just pressing E to solve a puzzle becouse character is a detective.
I always thought cosmic horror is about insignificance of human existence and feeling of alienation and here we have a GOD visiting you becouse you one-of-a-kind, unique, special chosen one who cant even die becouse your destiny dont allow it, i mean come on, what is this ?
Elitists like this who go on about how "well, this isn't Lovecraftian..." are just silly - "being more holy than the Pope" would be the appropriate wording in this case.
its not like Lovecraft wes developing videogames back in 1931 jeez.
