But the story is this horrible, insulting step down from the previous games.
Also, legendaries just drop waaaaaaay too often, they're just handed out like candy, there's pretty much no reason to EVER us white/green/blue gear beyond the first 5 minutes of the game.
I'll also add that I think the world design was weaker. The specific encounters (and encounter environments were okay, but they way they were fitted together and spaced in the over-world felt clumsy and amateurish compared to the map designs of the earlier games.
EDIT: I also felt BL3 had way more technical issues than the previous games. And it hasn't exactly gotten much better when I last checked. Multiplayer/Shift is total crap and in a good session you and your friends only get disconnected 5 times. In a bad session the Shift is unable to establish the whole connection in the first place.
Nice and concise. A valid critical opinion of the game. Another issue is treatment of characters. From the prior games you will notice they devalued certain characters to artificially put them in the spot light, as opposed to raising them up solidly on their own merits.
And the twin/parasitic siren concept was a nice idea but the two they made are horrible, with Tyreen being the worst. Removing her entire voice from the game improves it immensely.
This. The gameplay is best in the series.
