BL2 has the most liked story by people.
I think all titles have a mid story, BL3 has the worse one because of the twitch streamer vilain characters.
while people stay fixed on the main story, it also has all the dlc story tho'.

Now the gunplay really change a lot between different titles, BL3 and Wonderland have the best imo.

Before it existed one of the other ones must have been the best.

The story seems to trigger deep insecurities in some teenagers. You can see people with hundreds of hours in the game whining about it - it's like people who are married for 30 years who say they don't like their wife. They must have found something to like to do it for that long.

Story in games doesn't matter.

This more or less. Not really a rage debate honestly most would pick BL2 easily 3 close second due to guneplay and builds.

Go for Borderlands 3. It's the newest so you get great graphics, great gameplay, and the emotionally invested story. You will laugh, you will rage, you will cry.

They are cheap so play which ever appeals to you, also ignore anyone praising the narrative of 3 its probably the biggest black eye the game has.

i would go with TPS - its biggest flaw is that it is too short overall.

I think its about the length or a tad longer then the original, the biggest issue is the lack of level variety for most of its run time.

My votes for 2! One of the few games I bought across multiple platforms. Amazing lineup of DLC. So many costumes! I just bought 3 on Steam for cheap and haven't played since it first launched. Hoping it goes well. :D

B2 has the best villain (by far) and most content (also by far). But gameplay is much worse than the newer games imo. Not as balanced, didn't really click with roster of VHs as well (Maya was my favourite [RIP], didn't have Gaige/Krieg DLCs)

B3 has probably the best gameplay overall but base campaign was worse than B2/TPS, writing was worse. The story DLCs were at least a big improvement.

TPS is kind of a mix between the two. Better gameplay than B2 to me, better story/writing than B3, better balance, VHs and your included in the story moments compared to B3. Has the least amount of extra content but one of the best in Claptastic Voyage.

Haven't played Wonderlands.

I guess TPS is still my favourite but all good games in their own right.

Best Borderlands Game is "The Presequel" in my humble opinion, it has the best story/locations, sadly just one DLC but its the best of the franchise in my opinion.
BL2 has th e most content but the slag meta in endgame kill it for me, "but it has endgame" loooking at The pre Sequel.
BL3 has the best gunplay, "better movent imo goes to "the pre sequel" cause of the low gravity, Bl3 has the best graphics and the worst loot system.
just buy BL3 if you start by whatever, just do BL3, first palythrough is fine.
