What's the end game? What to do with a fresh level 72 character?

I have a character with mayhem 10 equipments but I'm not sure what to do as the "end game loop". It seems that you just kill some boss, then reload?
Also, with the new update (starting at level 72), I'll try the other 3 classes, but it seems that the goal is to unlock the dlc maps (and bosses). Is it how you do it?
In general, what do you do as end game activities?

Raidbosses, Takedowns, Slaughtershaft, Hunt for god roll gear, Improve and optimize your build or try new builds for your character(s), whatever tickles your fancy. Have you done everything there is to do in the game ? Finish every DLC, killed every bosses, etc...
