My first character is Amara and I like her. Doing mayhem 11 with her now.
Second character is Zane and only level 23.
I just started with FLAK for the first game because he looked like the sniper. Looking at all his skills, and abilities, I immediately understood that Fade Away had potential to be ridiculous.
Then the upgrades. First one makes no sense. Says that it doesn't end when the timer ends, -25% Crit damage. That's fine, but then it says 5 less seconds duration, BUT I thought the skill gave it unlimited duration, why is a downside 5 less second duration?
Plus, he's got the Irish Accent, and most of his comments are actually funny (to me at least). So, speaking personally, I find Zane hilarious.
Assuming you are referring to Guerrillas in the Mist, you misunderstood the description. It tells you that Fade Away no longer ends after 3 shots, not after the timer ends.
The base Fade Away has a longer duration if you don't end it early with the 3rd shot. Guerrillas in the Mist allows you to get as many crit shots as you want during it's duration, so to re-balance it, they reduced the critical damage and made it 5 seconds.
Both have their own uses - base Fade Away is for high burst damage with single shot weapons, while GitM is used with automatic weapons.
This but I prefer to use the SNTNL as my skill... Grenades are far to powerful to not use.
I prefer to play as Zane as he makes a for a solid tank that suits my play style.
And as Nakos pointed out he is the only funny toon in the game. (may have something to do with me being English)
Just kidding. I have one character of each maxed out with my desired builds. Zane, however, I had the easiest time with. Just being able to spam explosives without dying instantly made him my most played.
I find Amara to be the hardest IMO. Normally love playing the Sirens, but Amara was a miss for me. None of her builds called out like all of the other characters did.
I will say that Zane takes the longest to get going. Only starting to feel strong at level 24 for me. (got a decent class mod for him.)
Oh I see. Thanks. It was a bit confusing, but that makes much more sense.
