1: My case was too small and cooling was an issue
2: Thermal paste was old and dry, thus causing an overheat
3: Cooling
Your PC will shut down to prevent further damage upon the CPU overheating. I bought a new case, a new cooling system and a new CPU with brand new thermal paste. My computer now runs top notch with zero cooling issues.
Suggestions:
Replace thermal paste
Get a new cooling system with new thermal paste
Get a bigger case, some more fans and the above
I have enough fans to cool my house plus the water cooled CPU unit installed in my fat new case and my crashing stopped. I crap you not, I was crashing while playing some trivial games and I have a 2080ti and had a 9900 series CPU with liquid cooling. Sometimes all that's needed is some maintenance and perhaps a new cooling system and you'll see all your problems disappear. You may have been able to play it a while ago while the paste was new and cooling was optimal. After playing heavy load games for hours on end, that paste will (over a period of time) slowly dry up and cause overheats.
Hope this helps, best of luck and let us know (whenever you'd like) if that was the issue. Or just play games in a meat locker. Or......micky mouse an air conditioner to the CPU. Whatever's cheaper. Best of luck!
