is it still good without all the dlcs?

It is good because of dlc's main game doesnt offer you any good end game loot

Story and writing in base campaign are much weaker imo compared to the DLCs. Actual gunplay in the base campaign is still good through. So you should still be able to enjoy gameplay without DLCs even with the meh story.

But overall it's best to just wait for a big sale imo on the ultimate edition to get the DLCs.
