Will there be a Borderlands 4 any time soon?

Not a fan of TTWL at all, but I love the other 4 games dearly.

Also -- which version of Unreal Engine do 1, 2, TPS, and 3 use?

Will the next actual Borderlands game use Unreal Engine 5?

This one won't be popular, but seems inevitable given how the industry works now:

Will 1, 2, TPS, and 3 ever be remastered (again) using Unreal Engine 5, or adding even more world detail and/or various uses of RTX (shadows, reflections, DLAA, etc.)?

I'm not trying to be a ♥♥♥♥ here, but three of these questions you really could've googled yourself. you would've saved yourself some time. supposedly there may very well be a borderlands 4 coming out eventually, just unlikely that it will be soon.

the last two questions sort of look too far ahead in the future for anyone to know, especially since we don't have a definitive answer yet. again, another quick google search brought me to a tweet by Randy Pitchford making a tweet talking about how UR5 "was meant" for a new generation Borderlands game.

relying on the forum would've probably served to be less fruitful than using google/bing/any search engine.

and I realize I sounded a little aggressive but that wasn't my intent. I'm not upset about this post existing, just letting you know that these questions could've been answered on your own accord and save yourself some time in the future, if all you wanted were direct answers.

Soon, highly unlikely. But a 4th is very possible.

BL 1, 2, and TPS use UE 3.
BL3 uses UE 4.

Now that is asking to predict the future. Unless they can at low cost do some kind of complete bundle, I personally doubt it. They already have all the different collections on Steam. Seems unlikely they would put all that effort just to redo games still being sold.

I would love to see the first 4 games (or maybe all except BL1) get either a full remake or at least the addition of DLAA and some of the newer AO and RTX light and shadow methods.

Only thinking about these things as I've lately been replaying the entire series.

They have all aged quite well, IMO. Especially with the texture upgrades. Seeing what many other AAA game companies have done, I could see them doing more to the originals. Again.

I do want more story in the main canon, though. Wonderlands just didn't scratch that itch -- even though it looks gorgeous, I can't really get into it.

Only 2 and presequel have aged well. Bl1 is the clunkiest. All the shiny bells and whistles aren’t what make the series stand out it’s the aesthetic. As someone mentioned earlier it’s not worth the time and money to remake them. Most improvement would be shooting as smooth as bl3.

Reluctantly agree, Bankai. I was struck with how much better the shooting was last week when I switched from 1 to TPS, and it was the same with 2 when I started this week.

Sniper rifle miss rate in 1 is maddening and swear-inducing.

I half expect a blend of stuff from 3 and wonderlands. Doesn’t expect a massive jump in terms of shooting.

We expect playing with all the Vault Hunters from previous entries alongside the new ones at some point. It is innevitable, since one day they will just run out of original ideias and gimmicks to make each class unique enough. In fact they are already not that much different apart to begin with, seeing how several of the skills in trees are recycled or upgraded versions of the previous games skills.

I highly doubt they'd do that either given how each game has poor balancing along with characters as you mentioned with overlapping skills. The issue there is how to even make unique 3 skills for those left. Even then the shooting would be the same as 3.

Well at least we would have a broader cast to select just for the sake of inclusion.
