TVHM Is worth it yes. Don't forget about MAYHEM 11

TVHM is pretty worthless in this game unless you want to play the story again, since after finishing the main story in normal mode you immidiately gain access to the Mayhem levels with Mayhem 10/11 beeing the highest level. Unlike in BL2 and OP levels, you don't need to grind to get to the highest Mayhem level, you can select whatever level you want to go to from the get go.

I would strongly suggest:
NO

You might be one of the few people that actually enjoy the sad excuse of a story. The game had many decent ideas for that but just horrible execution. But if you are a bit drunk or sleepy - who knows - you might have a good time.

And it is never too late to start ignoring everything or muting dialog.

Hahahaha bruh... Is the story line and dialogs are this bad? Every steam comment says this.

Oh, so after i finish the main story line; i don't have to make a NG+ or continue? I have 0 idea about 3rd game. Or i don't need to rush main story line?

Finish main game. Turn on Mayhem. No reason for True Vault Hunter Mode (TVHM) unless you want to "experience" the story again.

Unlike Borderlands 2 when you have to farm one map over and over for the OP levels, Mayhem levels can be toggled as you wish. You just farm what you want to farm.

If you've played the prior games in the series and paid attention, especially BL2, you should notice a severe drop in quality and consistency for story/lore/character development, writing in general. Even if you don't view the others as high quality themselves, in comparison this one tanks. Fun game-play keeps people coming back to BL3 despite the huge flaws.

Thank you for comment. So, i can enjoy main story as i wish, then i can use the "Mayhem" thing for better loot and harder enemies right?
I have almost 250 in game hours where maybe 1% of it is Online play... I might have to play the story for the 3rd time to see if it's so bad as people say

Do you recommend fast run on story 2 times or not?

There is no proven fact, or offical fact that the game is bad. Story wise or gun play wise.

Everything here is a biased opinion, either you like it or you don't.

People can spin their words as much as they want to look like some college professor. Though it is still just a opinion, no facts.

Lucky for me i dont need to be "drunk or sleepy", I have a pretty bad crude sense of humor and most of the dialog in the game I find pretty funny, Zane is best in my opinion for a good solo adventure since his comments are top notch and quirky.

It all depends on you, I suggest playing normal threw to the end, then you can just skip it all in Mayhem mode.

Mayhem mode, and TVHM aren't mutually exclusive. However the only feature TVHM has that Mayhem doesn't is restarting the story. The key things are both make every enemy everywhere scale to your level, and both are unlocked when you complete the main story.

There are ways to objectively view storytelling. Things like continuity, complexity, themes, subplots, etc. Put simply how much a story actually makes sense, and how useful parts of the story are when applied to a real world setting. Put another way what the audience as a whole can possibly gain from the story other then simple amusement.

Romeo & Juliet for example has a theme of how stupid hate for the sake of hate is something that even today has an active real world implication. The obvious main theme of Borderlands 3 is "heroes run towards the fire", but they go about this badly. Rushing in without skill is dangerous something even included in the Borderlands 3 story, but they never actually go into how to develop skills so heroes can conduct themselves safely in a crisis. That is a massively important piece concerning their theme to the point omitting it can be considered negligent.

It is also worth noting as clearly indicated by this forum consumers that outright hate the story stop listening to it. It stands to reason all potential value is effectively nullified for anyone outright not paying attention.

:BL3Thumbsup:

Indeed, that goes well towards ava.

Going in head first with out thought or concern about one's own safety and the ones around them.. will cause harm full impact.

Which makes a point, as this game depicts current day stero types... young kids who think they know what's up and end up just making a bad situation worse. She completely ear brushes everything Maya warns her about and guess what? Her immature actions caused Maya's death.

Jist like the twins resemble current day streamers. ReEeEeeeE. They do have their funny moments though.

yes but no
if you do a fast run you will be roughly level 35-38 ish.

if you take your time and do EVERYTHING on the way you will be level 48 when you finish the base game.

honestly though once you hit the Mayhem difficulties all enemies will be at you level so you do level up faster, but in the end you will either be grinding bosses, circles of slaughter, Proving grounds, or doing DLC for levels until you hit rank 72
You can farm the scraptrap nest in Handsome Jackpot DLC for XP to get to lvl 72 once you unlock the Mayhem levels, it's a pretty quick farm.

Just mute the game.
