no i'm not referring to athena from b3. i'm referring to athena from b1.
wait which athena are which???
also its really painfully funny and ironic that athena never visited athena in b3...
some random trivia, one of b2 axton's idle dialogue had him tell of a story of a dahl soldier posted in a very boring place where nothing ever happens, he got so bored so he shot his own feet just to relieve his boredom.
Game was ok, the best part was the sound design, clicks, clacks, soundtrack and the visuals / lighting / models are amazing.
Its the characters and story writing that is absolute toilet tier.
thats all it has going for it, bl4 wont have the same tolerance this time around.
I doubt they will fire all their woke leads as that would include Randy himself and I bet he would rather the franchise die than give up his position.
imagine randy as shade the human claptrap from b2 scarlett dlc...
imagine b3 gameplay as the few drinkable water left in shade's oasis town...
imagine the corpses that shade necropuppeteered around oasis town as the status quo of the writing of this series since b3's rampant retcon and character butchering of classic characters...
imagine the banditpsychos who often came to the town from time to time to bully and rob shade of whatever water and resources he had left as the b3 gameplay enjoyers that still had hope for b4...
oh wait. you didn't.
all you did was call the writing really really bad, you called the writers mentally ill, and you called the writing 'toiler tier.'
No description, no analysis, just statements without explanation. Sorry, but that doesn't count.
BL3 has markedly inferior writing. The Calypso Twins have none Jack's gravitas. Jack is a self-centered [redacted], but at least he's an adult, he knows what he's doing. From a writing perspective, Jack is funny. he's charming for all that he's ultimately awful. He's a combination of Anthony Burch's writing and Daemon Clarke's acting.
Every BL game has a primary antagonist.
Steele is weak. She's too distant, too uninvolved in what the players are doing. She threatens once or twice, and then dies to her own hubris, but she's still better at her role than Tyreen is.
Jack is fantastic, one of the best video game antagonists every created.
Zarpedon is perfectly acceptable. She's not as funny as Jack, but she manages to present herself (in game) as being a credible zealot for her cause.
Even the Dragon Lord (in TTWL) isn't bad.
Tyreen though? She's fingernails-on-a-black-board. She has no sense of her own relevance to the world. She's as chatty as Jack, but without his sense of place or direction (or frankly, his sense of humor). Steele is a thief. Jack is a builder. Zarpedon is a crusader. The Dragon Lord is an evil overlord. Tyreen is a kid, playing with stuff she doesn't really understand, and as such, she's not relatable in the way that the others are.
