iron bear cooldown rate
I googled it and the wiki site claims that it is "110 seconds", but I timed it with a stopwatch and it too, 2 minutes 30 seconds.
that's 150 seconds.
meanwhile, I also have boosts saying +64% cooldown rate and it's still taking 150 seconds. unless +cooldown rate% means it SLOWS the rate?

incidentally, i . . .bearly. . .used it in normal mode, but now that i unlocked mayhem 11, the iron bear seems to be the only thing that can even deal with these bullet spongey mobs and having three minutes of downtime in between each pod of enemies is sucking the fun out of the game, i even respecced into the blue tree for the extra fuel and damage bonuses.
unless, is it the stainless steel bear skill?, with the +% max fuel is that what increased the amount of time it takes to cooldown? because i have more max fuel, it takes longer to refill?

edit : okay, i just realized the explosive punctuation skill that's giving me +64% cooldown rate only takes effect when i deal splash damage, so that explains part of it, but still doesn't explain that my passive timers seems to be 150 seconds and not 110 like the wiki site says it is

Dunno, I never had any problems with the cooldown of the mech myself. It's pretty quick. Grab yourself some decent guns though. I find that the SMG's "Needle gun XXL" and "Lethal Kaoson" - the latter especially - is pretty insane in the hands of Moze. I also like to use the OPQ System/Soulrender for assault rifles, and Krakatoa/Lyuda as sniper rifles. Still experimenting with shotguns, but the Butcher does seem to perform well mostly.

I should add that this is all with the Pearl of Ineffable Knowledge artifact from the Guns, love & tentacles DLC. My favorite artifact by a long shot. :D:

well, maybe it's just a case of mayhem 11, and yeah, i know hard mode is supposed to be hard. but the enemies are so spongy. I farmed a level appropriate kaoson marked as mayhem 10 off of traunt, like i see people say to do that.
i understand now because it has explosive ammo which has synergy with the blue skills. but even with 10000+ per shot, i'm shooting and shooting and shooting and shooting and the enemies health is like plink plonk plink, 0.001% of their hp with each shot.

but then i hop into the mech and suddenly i'm killing every enemy in 1 second or less, even badasses die in seconds.

the contrast is absurd, that outside the mech, i do pathetic damage, while inside the mech i'm destroying everything and i don't want tk have to rely on the mech all the time, but the mech is the only thing that can even damage these enemies.

I assume it's because the mech is being scaled up 1000%, but my character isn't.

I guess the intent was not for me to jump straight to 11 and instead, i was supposed to grind out guardian levels to gain more passive stats before jumping to 11? but then because mayhem 11 is available and the loot scales, there seems to be no point in farming any loot below mayhem 11 , so i'm just running around, waiting for the mech to recharge and then using it to clear a section , then waiting around for it to recharge and then using it to clear the next section.

the mech even tears bosses apart, while just running around outside of it, i can't even scratch them. 8 shoot and shoot and don't even see their meter going down.

so this wasn't even what the post was about, it was about the cooldown rate, I timed it with a stopwatch. it's 150 seconds, but the wiki page says it should be 110. is there something i have that's making it take longer?

Just did a Google and some say that the base cooldown time for Moze's action skill was 100.
That is the time it takes for activation to become available since last activation without any modifiers applied.
That was from a while ago though.
The cooldown rate is what can affect the cooldown time.
The base cooldown rate would be 1.
Usually rate modifiers are supposed to reduce the cooldown period.
Additionally there are supposed to be things that you can do to make the action skill last longer during the cooldown period so that your bear buddy is up more.
The Iron cub that I presently use, if it doesn't damage itself and die, usually has a down time of around 5 seconds.

so are there things that make the cooldown timer longer?
since i posted this, i have figured out that the skill in the blue tree requires me to be doing explosive damage to trigger it, which is likely why i'm supposed to be using Kaoson.

and i also started putting guardian tokens on the cooldown rate at every opportunity.

i can get it down to about 70-90 seconds if i'm constantly shooting.

still the iron bear, i see why they say the mech is OP, on mayhem 11, tearing a boss like graveward or traunt or something apart in 5 seconds is insnae.
especially because outside the mech, everything knkcks me into FFYL in 1-2 hits . .and takes a million zillion hits from me.

the wiki says enenmies don't do any extra damage on mayhem, they do the same damage as on normal, but i'm not sure.
like, on normal, my technical vehicle has 56k health and on mayhem 11, it has 2.3 million and yet on normal mode, i can tanks rocket launchers all night, but on mayhem 11, a single rocket destroys it.

i did however notice that when i moved back to normal to do trial of feevor, the enemies were still knocking out my 175k shields in just a few shots.
maybe it's only more noticiable on 11 because the enemies just take so dam long to chip away at them they get to just keep shooting me.?
