When does Moze get Iron Bear?
Or, is Iron Bear always there, and I'm just not seeing? I'm at level 4, btw.

iron bear needs 2 weapons equipped to work

OK, is there some keystrokes to press, to summon Iron Bear, or something like that?
cu5tmtp Aug 16, 2020 @ 8:19am
nah you summon it with telepathy

Well. I had already done some googling. I did some more after that last response. I see it's an Action Skill, and the Options tell me to use the F key. But, I try pushing the F key and nothing happens. I do have two weapons equipped in inventory. If it makes any difference, I so far have .... selected red and green into some kind of top-level slots for skills. I have not otherwise so far spent any skill points yet. I am now level 5, with 3 skill points to spend, and I've been waiting to get 5 skill points before spending. Folks, I played Borderlands 1 and 2 a few years back, and I found it much easier to pick up, as far as game mechanics and mouse / keyboard controls. I would really appreciate some help with BL3.
go to your skilltree and chose 2 weapons for your iron bear one left and one right weapon after doing that just summon him, if F doesnt work look at your controls if you maybe by accident changed that.

either you got the weirdest bug or you are a troll and i just feed you lol

you need to equip iron bear from skill menu and then press F to activate it.

OK, at the point of my last comment, I had done everything right. But, I hadn't noticed that when I pushed the "F" key, there was an on-screen message about "Not Enough Space" I had just died and was standing too close to the spawn point. I took a few steps and it all finally worked. Thanks for all the help.

Iron bear becomes really op later in the game if you spend the skill points well.

I am looking to do that. So many good games are breaking for me, now and over the next few months. The general advice I've seen on skills for Moze, is to follow the shield tree / red, and go with green for second set. If you can fill in any better, I'd appreciate it

Hi Dodger, while leveling, and I'm actually still using a variation of this for now since I love Iron Bear so much, this build allows you to stay in the Iron Bear for longer, while also shortening the Cooldown for summoning him:

https://www.icy-veins.com/borderlands-3/moze-gunner-leveling-build-guide

Now, it's actually the blue skill tree, where the focus is on skills that improve Iron Bear's fuel efficiency and Cooldown, to let you stay in Iron Bear form longer. That's the main limitation leveling up, as Iron Bear is so tough his biggest problem isn't enemy damage, it's actually the limited duration that you can stay in him (due to fuel consumption).

I mention this in the spirit of being helpful as just imho I thought the red and green trees were more for the later levels. Maybe because I mainly play solo, so the general advice you've seen is probably valid, but I focused on extending Iron Bear time.

If you do find problems with survivability, the 1 point in the red tree's Security Bear by itself provides a lot more durability. So you might focus on the blue tree, then just dip that 1 point in red when you find yourself struggling while leveling. By the time you reach the end of the "story" in Normal difficulty, you'll probably be very comfortable customising your own build based on your gear, and it's a lot of fun.

Just a final reminder, in case you need it - you can easily and cheaply re-spec your skill trees at the appearance changing stations in-game. It's a variable cost of iirc 10% of your cash on hand, so it's not like other leveling systems where a character's build is set in stone. So you might want to try this build and if it doesn't work out, go back to what you had, as it's quite convenient to do.

You know, I think I will give that build a try. I play strictly solo, and I have certainly noticed how Iron Bear uses up his fuel very fast. So that part about this build caught my eye.

red and green skill tree was overhauleed once action skills became scaled with mayhem, now red tree is almost useless as you want blue and green

I hated Moze when I first played her and Iron Bear was not that great, in fact she ended up being the last character I got to level 60.

But OMG once she gets enough points in her skill tree, watch out.

Iron Bear ends up being so crazy powerfull she can own bosses on M10 without any special gear or help. Moze ended up being my favourite character to play.

Here are is a quick collection of my Moze razing M10 bosses without special gear just Iron Bear.
