Best non dlc weapons for this Amara build?
I've been making Moxsy Chaos Queen Amara build but most of the specific weapons he recommends are dlc stuff and I'm still working my way up through the mayhem levels in the base game so I can go into the dlcs at M10.

He says anything can work with the build but to focus on weapons with multiple projectiles per shot because every pellet can proc Indiscriminate and splash damage and when combined with Ties That Bind this wrecks everything in seconds.


So what non dlc weapons are worth farming for that have multiple projectiles?

So I just bumped it up from mayhem 8 to mayhem 10 and I feel like the first thing I need to go farming for is a new shield. What would be the best non dlc option for that?

which classmod are you using? phasezerker? if so, give frontloader a try and go for 150/50 annoints. i enjoy it alot and the damage is really nice ;)
but i'd say get some weapons first, katagawa is such an easy boss to kill
shields don't get mayhem scaling. so a shield at no mayhem will provide the same amount of shield to one found on mayhem 10
Instead of shields, you should put points into sustainment until you get better weapons so you can constantly lifesteal and tank everything.

I know they don't scale but the point is my current shield is now feeling weak and I feel like I should go get a different one, I'm currently using an improved dual redundancy shield which is purple.

Is there any particular shield I should go for?
a transformer shield is probably the best all around shield if you're not going for a specific build (melee, URad, Nova)
Also what mayhem modifiers are best for elemental Amara?

I currently have:
More than okay boomer
Totally radical
Laser fare
Buddy system


I don't really use grenades since Ties That Bind kills everything anyway
Infused/immune to radiation is fine as I tend to use fire/shock/corrosive over radiation.
Laser fare is proving to be annoying but manageable since I can just not go near the body until the trap is gone

Buddy System, this is the one I have a problem with, it's annoyingly tanky and has a tendency to phase through walls where I can't shoot it but looking at the list of possible very hard modifiers I'm really not sure what to try and re roll for.

I definitely don't want Rouge Lite, Dazed and Infused would cripple my build, Holy Crit would effectively bloat enemy health massively.

Post Mortem, I checked a video on how that works and since they can phase right through terrain being insta killed out of no where is a no go

So how is Not the Face? It sounds terrible but since I'm mostly doing elemental damage maybe would be manageable?


post mortem is arguably the best and safest modifier for almost every build

the 1st one can be anything

mob mentality is basically a freebie as well

and then drone ranger, chain gang, and ticked off are the optimal modifiers. (due to status dots not getting proper mayhem scaling, reducing their damage doesn't matter)

Buddy system is sometimes annoying with flying enemies or getting stuck in walls, but for the most part I find it alright. I usually reroll any of the damage reduction ones, they're not my cup of tea.

For Hard slot, if you have Pool Party and a Transformer you can abuse the shock pools for shield tanking. The corrosive and incendiary pools are fairly manageable.
