However, I will note that Zane gets to have two action skills where the secondary action skill overwrites the button you use for grenade mods. Thankfully, this ain't an oversight and he has skills in three of his four skill trees that let him still make use of his grenade mods via alternate means.
(Added) Just now remembered that Amara is decent in a pure gunplay kind of build. She ain't a pure melee character and I've found that she can operate just as well as Maya as a sniper character.
I didn't want to watch a lot of tube videos full of spoilers before playing but checked one out not long ago just before I started playing. Seems Zane is a pretty versatile bet. I liked Siren in BL2 although Amara seems more melee focused in this one to some extent.
She has a single melee focused skill tree. Just because she has that doesn't mean you can't do a gun build with her. Same extends to every other character in this series who have single skill trees that are melee focused.
Hell, she even has an action skill that is more or less Phaselock.
Suppose I can always respec once I get a better feel for the new mechanics and build possibilities.
Cheers.
He does gun crits like it's nobody's business.
And his pets have ranged options aswell. I mean a War Loader bot and Monkey with guns and rocket launcher - need i say more?
this game, i'm having a lot of fun with Fl4k
I tend to use snipers a lot in BL2 (and in BL:TPS) but in BL3 I tend to find them somewhat lack-luster. On the other hand, Assault Rifles seem much stronger in BL3 and I tend to use them a lot.
