I just want your character to be relevant to the plot this time around perhaps give us options to choose that could perhaps change direction of a story or character?
One can hope.
I like the op's version though lol
I believe this franchise could come back to being relevant and enjoyed by all both story and gameplay, they just have to be willing to do it.
That's by far what most would like to see happen to Ava, and it would be the best start for Borderlands 4.
and then tannis and the b4 hunters jump through the timelines of b1, b1.5, b2, tftb & b3 to help the 'heroic good team' vault hunters of each timelines survive with better outcomes against old and new threats... while also fixing all the plotholes, retcons, character butchering, and wasted story potentials that gearbox made...
seriously tannis is already mary sue as it is. remember that she built the legendary op digistruct peak training simulator in b2 just from scraps of pandora tech junks... just give her the power to fix the plotholes and remake the series from the grounds up.
I always thought it was very weird how many cut-scenes occur while your character is seemingly sitting on their hands, watching the antagonists fight or kill your friends.
and then b3 era gearbox decided to throw that principle away, and put much more long dramatic cinematic cutscenes that focuses too much on the b3 npcs
but dahl will never get that opportunity for casus belli. under ava's leadership who wants everyone to run towards the fire, she'll probably try practicing her siren teleporting skills and accidentally ends up teleporting the whole sanctuary into a random turbostar. ironic ending since in b2 when after lilith teleport the whole sanctuary to avoid jack's helios bombardment, she jokingly tells roland that they're all lucky lilith didn't accidentally teleport them into a random mountain.
if b3 writers didn't cut corners, have all the main casts support each other and don't retcon the eridian watcher, sanctuary would most likely already become a turbomansioncapitalship at the start of b3 by the help of engineering mech skills of gaige, ellie, moxxie, springs & pickles... (sadly scooter died in tftb) with lots of sponsor funds from marcus, rhys, torgue, jakobs, moxxie & aurelia's connections.
bam. the actual b3 starts up with the crimson raiders already having strong space HQ turbomansioncapitalship... and players can just immediately jump around the 6 galaxies choosing their own vault hunting adventures getting easy money from their lucrative mercenary 'heroes' lifestyles. though they would have to prepare dealing with much more aggressive dahl and other greedy megacorps.
