Just do not pick up anything over green - even with that the game is still easier than previous entries. On higher levels it becomes a bit better but you just kinda have to get to that point.
And sadly Mayhem also does not make the enemies any better -.-
https://github.com/BLCM/bl3mods/wiki/All-Mods
There's a mod for 4x the difficulty (called 4 Player enemy health) and another for Increased Spawns.
You can also try the Balands or Redux overhaul mods, that balance the game, tweak some settings (especially enemy scaling), add some guns (Redux does; including Pearlescent rarity of guns&items), buff/nerf some guns, etc.
I don't mind characters becoming OP in my looter games. Keyword becoming; git gud loot, git gud skill tree, become GOD. Moze's mech is just sweeping through everything, making the entire looting and skill tree concepts feel pointless. Why would I care when, despite being clearly underleveled and -geared for Mayhem 10, this character is inherently strong enough to make absolutely everything a non-issue?
I regret buying this game.
All the more reason to try some of those mods I mentioned.
The BL3 game has a lot of issues (especially bad writing and stupid characters), but its core gameplay is solid (which is why it still has max online players among the BL games).
With the mods, you will find QoL vastly improved, and the game will become much more enjoyable, especially when playing with friends.
I did read the changelogs for the mods. Redux clearly states "Iron Bear Weapon and Augment Damage increased" while Balands reduces both usage time and cooldown of IB to 60 seconds, while also buffing stomp damage by 250%. Moze also gets 'Mayhem scaling' (is this the scaling for IB?) for gun damage because IB skill tree got nerfed, but... the skill tree isn't even an issue...
Other than IB, I don't really have a frame of reference as to what's OP and what's not in this game, and seeing that both mods have added buffs relating to IB but no big nerfs, I don't think these are what I'm looking for?
Not using Iron Bear to kill enemies is the same thing as being told to use only white weapons. Aside from actually using it to kill things, Gun Moze is the more popular play style, since she has so many class mods that benefit her outside of Iron Bear. Iron Bear/Cub is useful in activating Some for the Road, Big Surplus and some anointments.
Yes. Mayhem scaling affects pet damage, melee damage, action skill damage (including skills that do action skill damage) and nova damage from shields. Iron Bear/Cub is action skill damage. None of these affect early game/Mayhem 0, unless you use mods.
Moze is notable for having 2 Tier 1 skills with Mayhem scaling, along with a capstone that synergize with those 2 skills so that already makes her somewhat OP in end game.
There's no argument that she is the easiest to play, but there are still people that are struggling with her. Someone just recently mentioned not being able to make it past the harder end game content with a max level Moze. Give it some time.
