Steam Deck crashes

I've been replaying on the steam deck OLED. It runs surprisingly smoothly but I screwed up. I was messing around with the display settings and turned on HDR to see what would happen. Huge mistake.
The game immediately crashed. Now anytime I try to open the game, it freezes and crashes on the load screen. I can't even go back into the settings to turn it off.
Is there a way to change it back from desktop mode, or did I brick my game forever on the deck?
