This looks like wait till it's in the bargain bin but who knows maybe it will surprise us.
We'll see.
(About Uncharted)
"The film received mixed reviews from critics and grossed $407.1 million worldwide, making it the fifth-highest-grossing video game film of all time."
Welp.. 5th highest does not mean "garbo".
That's what I'm saying, just because people don't like the trailer, doesn't always mean it's going to be garbage or do poorly. For all we know, this could be a pleasant surprise and is an amazing adaptation. As I said, I'm definitely watching this when it hits streaming services since I love this franchise. They're making a movie of it so I would hope fans of the franchise would at least give it a shot and judge for themselves.
Exactly and I'll never forget seeing the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie, again, going in with very low expectations, and it completely blew me away. We could very well get that with Borderlands. I agree that a lot of people are saying they won't watch it because "video game movie adaptations suck" but if it's on Netflix or something, I'm sure they'll check it out to see for themselves.
I'm just glad we're getting more video game adaptations since it just adds another layer of immersion to popular gaming franchises we all grew up with.
Counter-Strike movie when? ;-)
Well, movies are subjective. What you might think is a turd is an enjoyable experience for others who might like it. It's very similar to reading. A lot of people love Stephen King but I know there are many that do not. Does that make him a turd because some people hate him and his work? No, it's all subjective.
I'm just saying, this movie could be epic, it could be terrible, it could be decent. That's up to the viewer. I did enjoy the Uncharted movie and I wasn't going into it expecting it to be exactly as the legendary video games were. It was decent.
People went with the hope that the movies would not suck, then with the hope that maybe this next movie would not be as terrible as the previous one.... And every time the audience was disappointed.
Sadly there are just too many people that are too stupid to notice the crap and too idiotic to understand that simply not wasting your money on that is voting with your wallet and is the thing that will bring better results.
