but 1shoting bosses during the normal gameplay is rather easy (as is the entire game).
If you want OP-easy - Moze.
Zane and Moze are your "ez modes". Moze is just flatout broken as where Zane is just a more fun version of bl2 zero.
I always saw Zane as more of a hybrid between Timothy (Jack's Double) and Wilhelm from the pre sequel.
His clone is much more similar to Jack's clone than Zero's and and his drone is just like a combination of Wilhelm's 2 drones. Then after the 4th tree gave him a shoulder cannon option, it made it even more like he was a hybrid of the 2.
All characters are valid, balance of power shifts a bit over the course of the level range, and gear, anointments and synergy effects really determine if you are OP or not.
I solo so I don't really like playing a siren (Amara). It's easier for me to project a hologram of Zane to back me up, deploy my mech as Moze, or use my pet to distract enemies as Fl4k. So I'd say Amara is prob the worst for my playstyle.
Different characters can optimize different weapons better than others though, so each one is the best at something, just depends if that something is what you like doing/using.
Purple tree makes Zane now have the worst FFYL of all characters. Replacing Amara's gun/driver playstyle, and Eraser 1 shots aren't enough to outweigh that.
Moze gets another tier 1 fire damage with mayhem scaling, multiplicative cryo damage and faster utilization of ASE anointments. She is still #1 overall.
FFYL can be ignored if you rarely go down, but it will inevitably happen. Zane loses so much damage, so unless you are running SNTNL 100% cryo for some reason or have Old-U available, he will have a difficult time getting back up on his own.
You should never go to FFYL with Zane really because Zane has probably the best sustain out of all the characters, but if you do it's extremely easy to get back up with clone, so I don't really know what you are on about.
It's a trade off for his best sustain. I forgot to mention Urad but to some it might not be worth sacrificing a slot for it.
