short criticism of the game villains (some spoilers)

i love this game and the gameplay but i do wanna just give a short criticism of the villains, tyreen and troy.

it seems like they're a little similar to handsome jack in the way that they taunt you on echo throughout the game. however, with jack, it's actually entertaining because jack can be serious at times, especially towards the end of the game. with tyreen and troy, they don't take anything seriously which gets really old. you only get a little bit of serious dialogue around the end, and it's barely anything. they never break down like jack did.

i know i'm using jack as a comparison a lot here, but i do wanna say that jack's character was very fleshed out and deep, unlike the calypsos. the calypso's don't really have any layers, they're just obnoxious millennials that don't take anything seriously

There's a reason they included jack in the prequel and the telltale game. They will never top that villain.

Even without having Jack to compare, the Twins were atrocious (Tyreen especially). They had a lot of potential that went down the drain with poor character design, voices that made you want to rip their throats out.

The journey to the big final fight is supposed to be enjoyable. But killing Tyreen is such a relief to shut her up. Her vocal sludge is as bad as someone trying to make everything political.

I'd love a mod that mutes the twins, honestly. Worst antagonists I've had the misfortune of experiencing in all my years of gaming.

Jack is cringe, and was cringe back in BL2. That whole butt stallion bit when you meet Hammerlock is super cringe.

Tyreen and Troy owned their cringe. At least they were funny and interesting characters. Jack was a one note character stretched too thin.

Gearbox should just make the "Adventures of Cringy Jack" for all the jack fans. Millions of dollars would be made, and if it fails I would go on the forum and create a thread called "I told you so. Jack was trash from the get-go."

The only reason you think they're interesting is because they share your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ "gen z" humor and personality. I laughed more when my dog died than at any "joke" they made

Tyreen and Troy were not funny AT ALL. They are just low quality streamers begging for likes. And some people (players) are such sheep they treat them like gods just like they do for streamers that tell them how to live their lives.

Jack was not one-note. Even in BL2 (before expanding on his character change in TPS) there was a lot more to him. He was twisted, demented, yet had a soul (consider his reactions regarding what happened to Angel, even though he justified how her life went up to that point). And writing was better on timing and interaction as opposed to word vomit from the twins.

Make a game about a triple sided cactus that destroys and shuts up Tyreen for good and the gaming community can rejoice that worthless piece of trash is finally taken out in a meaningful way.
